Feeds.App 3 Known Issues

The following is a running list of bugs, missing features and design flaws in the latest version Feeds.App 3 in no particular order:

  • The final release of Feeds.App 3.0 reads "Feeds.App 3.0 RC4" in the plugin settings view. This is entirely cosmetic albeit it a bit confusing. (Thanks to user Mike Burger for pointing that out.)
  • Some users have reported problems with the Feeds Widget Wizard using MT4 where they are presented with an error screen when trying to continue passed the first screen. It has been determined that MT is sometimes loading the version from Feeds.App Lite even if it has been disabled. It is unclear if this is a bug in MT or the result of how Feeds.App supports MT3/MT4. The solution is to (re)move the feeds-app-lite directory from mt/plugins. (Thanks again to Mike Burger for his patience figuring this out.)
  • The following warning message has been reported when run-periodic-tasks is executed: 'Argument "MT::Plugin::FeedsApp::Tasks::update_cache_frequency" isn't numeric in addition (+) at lib/MT/TaskMgr.pm line 86.' While this warning does not seem to stop regular processing, it shouldn't be happening and will be addressed. (Thanks to Aaron Bailey for reporting this.)
  • INTERFACE: Clearing the cache does not provide any feedback that the action was performed.
  • Documentation is actively being worked on and not entirely complete. (In case you didn't notice.)
  • ISSUE: The plugin does not support relative links as per the Atom specification.
  • ISSUE: Atom content source links are not supported.
  • ISSUE: Localization hooks are incomplete.
